Description
Chalet L'Oratoire is a traditional French farm building, over 200 years old, and completely rebuilt in 2022 to modern standards. It sits in a huge garden with a mountain stream. Secluded getaway in the tranquil forested sector of Vaudagne with many hiking trails and amazing views of the Mont-Blanc. Just minutes away from Chamonix and Les Houches center. In the garden, we have a second chalet, Le Petite Mazot. It is a traditional wooden cabin for 2 people.
***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
This newly built chalet also has a Mazot (a classic wood cabin converted into a separate sleeping area). This chalet has 2 listings. If you have 6 people and only want to stay inside the large chalet I would suggest contacting us and we will send you the other listing for just the chalet. It will be less expensive.
5 minutes by car to the ski lifts in Les Houches, 10 min to Brevent in Chamonix.
***FIREPLACE***
This property has a fireplace that can be used for an even warmer atmosphere. Please note that using it is not necessary to heat the apartment and that we are concerned by the pollution in Chamonix caused by wood-burning fireplaces.
***Ground floor***
On the ground floor, you will find the open-plan kitchen with a dining table for six. The kitchen is fully fitted: induction hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, Nespresso machine, and all the pots, pans, and kitchenware you can think of. Around the corner, there is the lounge with a cast-iron wood stove and sofa. A panoramic window provides sweeping views of the Fizz mountain range.
*** First floor ***
There are three comfortable bedrooms, with views directly to the top of Mt Blanc. Two master bedrooms, each with a double bed. The third bedroom can be configured as a single, a twin, or a double.
*** Outdoor ***
Outside you will find the large sundeck. And the huge garden, of 3000m2, with lawn, forest section and mountain stream.
